Matthew Good - Your Rainy Sound

I was a huge fan of the Matthew Good Band. Beautiful Midnight came out when I was developing my taste in music, and it was a big part of my late teens and early twenties. I kept following Matthew Good’s solo work after the band broke up, but eventually I lost track.

A while ago I decided to catch up on his discography via streaming. His newer stuff doesn’t hit me the same way his older stuff did (and still does), but this track caught my ear. The drums remind me of a marching band, and they contrast the melancholy vibe of the music.
